If Dorothy were shopping for shoes in 2011, we like to think she'd pick these deep red ballet pumps with a mini Tatty Devine moustache on the front. She's also be drawn to the shiny patent leather, the cute kitten heels and the peephole at the back. She'd pop them on, click her heels and be taken straight to The Old Curiosity Shop, where these shoes were designed, to find out more. Dorothy would discover a fairytale little shop built in 1567, and a shoemaker within who crafts a treasure trove of unusual, beautiful shoes. His name is Daita Kimura, and we decided to work with him because we both make most of our products in England by hand (these shoes were made in Spain), and we both enjoy designing the unexpected.
