Tell us a little about yourself... 
I am a 30 yr old knitwear designer living in Buckinghamshire with my partner and our 2 boys. I work mainly using traditional hand knitting and crochet techniques and produce unique, fun, and colourful knitting and crochet patterns.
 
What's on your Christmas list this year?
Any of the Tatty Devine Golden Pear jewellery pieces! And a brightly coloured faux fur jacket, please!
 
We set you the challenge of knitting some Tatty Devine inspired knitwear - tell us how you got on! 
It's very easy to feel inspired looking at any Tatty Devine jewellery - it's so fun and colourful! Christmas is definitely my favourite time of the year too so drawing inspiration from Tatty Devine's Christmas jewellery was a delight! I felt immediately drawn to the pear jewellery and the statement starburst necklace - I thought that these would translate well to large hand knitted intarsia motifs. I used sparkly yarns mixed with solid colours to give the impression of the sparkly perspex and paired this with regular stripes in rich jewel colours. I kept the actual garment shapes simple so the motifs would be the main focus and added some chain stitch embroidery to outline the intarsia shapes after they were knitted.
