Celebrate Year of the Bus and win!

Charlotte Prichard, 2 April 2014

"Tickets, please!" Sixty years ago, the classic red Routemaster bus was revealed for the very first time and instantly became a London icon. We've teamed up with London Transport Museum to celebrate the Year of the Bus with an exclusive jewellery collection. Sadly, it's top secret until the launch in June, but we just had to give you a sneaky peek at one of the key pieces from the collection... Inspired by bus destination boards, we've recreated locations that are close to our heart as necklaces and brooches. Shoreditch is very special as it's the home of our original Brick Lane store - where Tatty Devine first began! Fancy showing off your neighbourhood pride? Here's where you come in! Whether you're a Bow belle or a Brixton babe, we want you to put forward the case for your favourite place in London and you could see it become a part of the collection. Together with London Transport Museum, we'll pick a winning location and turn it into a destination board inspired necklace and brooch, which will go on sale at Tatty Devine and the London Transport Museum. To enter, simply share your top London destination in the comments below. Get creative and tell us why it's your favourite place in 300 words or less.

This competition is now closed. Thank you all for your entries! We loved hearing all about your favourite parts of our city and found it very difficult to choose our favourite. We're very excited to reveal that the final destination board inspired necklace and brooch will be... Camden Town. Congratulations to our winner, Stephanie! Both Team Tatty Devine and the London Transport Museum loved her inspiring and passionate nomination: "From the vibrant mohawks to the vintage haunts, there is no place quite like Camden Town. With a punk rocker here and a cybergoth there, Camden is brimming with a diversity that is palpable from the moment you step off the tube. Whether you’re a lover of high street shops, vintage boutiques or bagging a bargain in the market Camden has it all and you can spend hours meandering the streets and taking in the allure of the every sight, smell and sound. Excellent food, inspiring people and some fascinating famous residents, Camden is a wonderland where you can be anything and everything you want to be. A harmonious melting pot of diverse culture and organised chaos". Well done, Stephanie! You have won your chosen destination as a necklace and brooch and four adult tickets to the London Transport Museum. Well, where better to show off your new jewellery? We can't wait to reveal the new jewellery, including the winning Camden Town destination board necklace and brooch in June. Watch this space...
