Colette Patterns are here

Charlotte Prichard, 16 May 2011

We're really pleased to announce that we are now stocking Colette Patterns. These beautifully designed, modern sewing patterns are all created by Sarai Mitnick from Portland, Oregon. (Is it just us or does everything cool come out of Portland?). Sarai Mitnick Discovering Colette Patterns is like discovering the vintage sewing patterns of your dreams, except that instead of a jigsaw puzzle of random tissue shapes, these patterns come with step-by-step instructions written in plain English, and are suitable for modern women's bodies (every pattern can be cut for sizes 0-18). Each pattern comes in a linen card pocket along with a beautiful booklet with lots of clear-as-crystal instructions. Many of the patterns are suitable for beginners, so if you've allowed your sewing machine to sit unused because you can't get your head around French seams or buttonholes, let Colette come to the rescue.
