Tatty Devine Launches Name Necklace Now!

Tatty Devine Launches Name Necklace Now!

Charlotte Prichard, 20 July 2012

Ever heard the old saying that "patience is a virtue"? Well, it certainly has a time and a place but there's no need for hanging around with our permanent new lasercutter at our Covent Garden store. You can now design your bespoke Name Necklace and have it made in-store right in front of you by our team. To celebrate our new service, we threw a launch party to reveal our brand new perspex colour and premiere our new fashion film made by  The Lovestreet for Tatty Devine. There was hot competition between party guests as the first twenty to arrive received an amazing colour-themed goody bag. Each bag contained Essie Lilacism nail varnish, a Penhaligon's Lavendula Candle, Swizzels Matlow Giant Parma Violets and Dylon French Lavender Fabric Dye. As if that wasn't exciting enough, our lucky winners also received teapigs Jasmine Pearls Tea, House of Holland for Pretty Polly Sweet Lavender Fishnet Anklets and the Summer issue of Betty Magazine. We even hid a limited number of Inika lilac eyeshadow and eyeliner in randomly selected bags as a special surprise!
The store was heady with the scent of lavender, courtesy of Penhaligon's Lavandula candles. Surprise! Our new perspex shade was revealed to be a perfectly pastel Lilac. We kicked off the launch day with a sneak preview breakfast for bloggers and members of the fashion press. Our Press Manager Amy and fashion blogger Amy of Wolf Whistle are Lilac Name Necklace twins! Let the laser cutting begin! Our eager guests couldn't wait to order their Name Necklaces on-the-spot. It was all hands on deck to design, cut and create your bespoke necklaces. Vintage earrings and a bright red Name Necklace were the order of the day for Alexa! Betty Magazine editor Charlotte couldn't resist our new Lilac perspex - it perfectly matches her floral dress. Blogger Lauren of Pocket Rocket Fashion has the best Wizard of Oz inspired tattoo. Our Glitter Red perspex gave her name necklace the perfect Ruby Slippers feel! Lindsey and Claire are the creators of one of our favourite art magazines, Ballad Of. We love the idea of having the name of your blog made into a name necklace! Parma Violet, anyone? Thanks to Swizzels Matlow, our evening party guests were fueled by delicious lilac hued sweets. As name necklace orders came flooding in, everybody sipped on Briska cider and enjoyed the premiere of our new fashion film by The Lovestreet. Saskia, creator of The Lovestreet, debuted her bespoke name necklace for the first screening of her film. The queue for Name Necklaces stretched round the store and out into Monmouth Street outside! We made Gabi's amazing necklace at our pop-up store inside Selfridges' Wonder Room during their Words, Words, Words event. Queen of fashion blogging llymrs (aka Lily Melrose) popped by to sneak a peek at our new laser cutter in action... ...and left with a Name Necklace in our new Lilac shade. It even matched her glittery manicure! Thank you to everyone to came to celebrate with us and to our refreshments and goody bag sponsors! Our new Lilac shade will be launched on our website next month. If you just can't wait to get your hands on it, head to our Covent Garden store and have your Name Necklace made right in front of you now!
