Bow Ties Are Cool

Hooray for Doctor Who! The classic British sci fi programme turns 50 this weekend and we're stocking up on popcorn in preparation for the screening of its much-hyped anniversary episode. Doctor Who has a special place in our hearts here at Tatty Devine HQ, especially for our accounts queen Lucy - her mum was a Visual Effects specialist on the programme in the 1970s! Back in the spring last year, a customer called Meg took to Twitter to share this snap of her new Doctor Who inspired Name Necklace. Tardis blue? Check! Custom bow tie charm? Check! Super fan Meg was planning to visit the Official Doctor Who Convention in Cardiff and wanted a stylish way to celebrate her love for the series. We didn't think her story could get any better...but it did!  

Tears. Of. Joy. Yes, Meg met the eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith and got up close and cosy with him for this cute snap at the convention. What's that round her neck? "Bow Ties Are Cool", of course! Does this mean we've met a Time Lord?
