Can you believe it’s the end of 2016 already!?
This year has been a busy, fun and exciting one for Team Tatty - we have SO many amazing memories from the last 12 months! So many in fact that we couldn’t possibly squeeze them all into one blog post, so read on as we’ve whittled down our massive list to our top five highlights of the year...
TATTY DEVINE HOME This November we brought you a whole new world of Tatty Devine with our NEW colourful collection of accessories and homewares! We delved into the Tatty Devine archives to reimagine our most loved, iconic jewellery designs as playful and practical makeup bags, purses, string lights and bags! This is just the start of what’s to come, you just wait to see what’s in store for next year...
CHARITY COLLABORATIONS We were very proud to work with two incredible charities close to our hearts this year.
In September we designed a craft-inspired collection for Macmillan Cancer Support, which was exclusively available at M&S stores nationwide. It was absolutely incredible seeing so many of you sporting our Craft Flower Pins and raising money for such an amazing cause!
October saw us design a jewellery collection in paw-some partnership with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. With £3 donated from each piece purr-chased, helps support the brilliant work Battersea do finding loving homes for animals in their care. You can shop the collection now, so treat yourself to something new and raise money for charity too. It’s a win-win!
KALEIDOSCOPIC REFLECTIONS In May we spent 10 late nights, used 36 pots of paint and laser cut 3,688 acrylic bones to create Kaleidoscopic Reflections, an extra special art installation at the Royal London Hospital. Brightening up the walls of the Children’s Imaging Department, we transformed a place that can be quite scary for children into a fun and interactive kaleidoscope of colour - can you spot our hidden Tatty Devine designs hidden between the bones?
LONDON FASHION WEEK We LOVE teaming up with other creatives at London Fashion Week, and this year was no exception!
2016 gave us a double dose of super-cool Clio Peppiatt; we checked into Motel Clio, creating playful jewellery and mini suitcases for her AW16 show, then for her SS17 presentation, we designed exclusive slogan necklaces, crystal studded dice earrings and ferocious panther necklaces!
For SS17 we headed to Fashion East and teamed up with the wonderful Matty Bovan, to bring both Tatty Devine and Matty’s love of colour and playful aesthetics together to adorn the models with show-stopping designs, for his acclaimed catwalk show.
ALL OF OUR AMAZING JEWELLERY! 2016 has been an epic year for jewellery - this year alone over 300 different designs have appeared online and in store.
From new additions to our Classic Collection and colourful collaborations, to limited edition designs from our Skies of Antiquity and Play the Part collections, we've had so much fun designing every single piece. Our iconic Mexican Embroidery Large Necklace and Frida Necklace even made exclusive comebacks, too!
With all of this new jewellery appearing throughout the year, we’ve also been super busy working away on all of our collections for 2017 - so stay tuned!
Phew, well there you have it! What a year it’s been – we couldn’t have done it without YOU.
