Craft Power: Coming to a Screen Near You!
Do not adjust your set: our co-founder and Managing Director Rosie Wolfenden is headed to your screens tonight!
Tune into Channel 5 from 8PM to catch The Wonderful World of Crafting, as Rosie and her co-presenter Michelle Ackerley advise up-and-coming crafters on the path to success. Do you daydream of following your creative pursuits? Lacking the entrepreneurial know-how to make it happen? Pop the kettle on, adjust your Making Mat Brooch and settle down for an hour of craft power!
"This has been a dream show to work on as there’s nothing I love more than giving advice and pointing people in the right direction to help them run their own creative businesses." - Rosie Wolfenden
"In an age when we're all so busy and everything is about 'the now' and what's next, it was lovely doing a programme where it was so focused on being creative and going on a journey with people. Everybody's got that sense of creativity in them!" - Michelle Ackerley
Click here for the low-down on Episode One, which goes live at 8PM tonight and follows Rosie and Michelle as they enter the realm of prolific maker, Heather, who’s a dab hand at whipping up fantasy inspired objet d’art (fearsome dragons, collectable wands, and polymer clay fairy doors) but not so hot on the marketing side of running a business. Next up, long-arm quilter John’s creations bring people together from all over the world, including the pin in every sewist’s cap, the Festival of Quilts. But can he overcome his lack of confidence to truly make his passion a viable business? Knot your average textile artist, left-handed crocheter Toni teaches the intricacies of crochet and has developed a series inexpensive ‘one ball’ projects, with the end goal of owning her own shop and even a pattern book firmly in her sights.
Rosie, Michelle, Heather, and friends strike a pose!
Oh, and feeling lucky? To celebrate Rosie’s TV debut, we’re giving YOU the chance to WIN! That’s right, head over to Twitter where we’ll be live-tweeting from 8pm tonight and giving away 1 X piece of Tatty Devine, as seen on Rosie.
First up? Our statement Memphis Movement-esque Terrazzo Link Necklace, RRP £175.
Tune in tonight to find out if Rosie and Michelle’s knowledge and business acumen set our crafters on the right path... Joining the conversation on social media? Don’t forget to use the hashtag: #wonderfulworldofcrafting!
