Feeling Sweet

Did you see Chanel's kitschy cool Autumn Winter 2014 show? Models including Cara Delevingne shopped as they walked in Karl Lagerfeld's dreamy imaginary supermarket. We've always been inspired to create jewellery that looks like food, so we loved style maven Susie Bubble's Instagram snap of Sweetie Bracelets from the show! Back in 2000, just after Tatty Devine began, Rosie and Harriet created cute sweetie bracelets from porcelain beads. They looked just like the real thing - but they were made to last forever. Great minds think alike, eh, Karl? We were so excited to shoot our very first lookbook, so we headed down to Southend for the day. The lovely Lomography ambassador at the time lent us cameras and gave us loads of advice on how to get the really intense technicolour effect that we wanted. Whilst we were there, we stopped in for a treat at Rossi, an amazing ice cream parlour - and that's where we shot the Sweetie Bracelet! Here's Rosie and Harriet tucking into an ice cream sundae...
