TATTY DEVINE - HANDMADE IN BRITAIN
Launched by Best of Britannia at the House of Commons, today is the day to celebrate amazing independent businesses and encourage your friends and family to discover and buy more British-made products.
We're proud to say that since we started out in 1999, all of our jewellery has been handmade by our team of talented makers in Kent and East London.
Since the beginning we've always kept things close to home - Tatty Devine started when Rosie and Harriet found a bag of leather scraps on the side of the road, which they then turned into cuffs to sell at Portobello market. Back then everything was made from scratch in their bedrooms, but as Tatty Devine started to grow they set up a studio on Brick Lane, which later became the very first shop - we're still there today!
Harriet and Rosie are based at our studio near our Brick Lane store to work closely with the team, always dreaming up new samples and designs, which then get divided between our teams in London and Kent.
From statement Seasonal pieces such as our Eighties Phone Cord Necklace to our Classic Dinosaur Necklaces and Dog on Wheels Necklace, all of our jewellery is handmade with care and attention - some of our larger pieces can take hours to individually craft by hand.
Our personalised Name Necklaces are also made right here in London - you can pop into our Brick Lane and Covent Garden stores to have your Name Necklace laser cut and hand finished on the spot! At our Brick Lane store we also host fun jewellery making workshops and parties where you can make your own unique designs.
"We're really proud that all of our jewellery is handmade in Britain by our skilled team of makers. It's so important for us to support and nurture British talent, and thanks to the passion of our team over the last 15 years we've been able to keep creating good quality, original and playful jewellery." - Rosie and Harriet
