FROM PODCASTS TO PLAYLISTS, WHAT DO YOU LISTEN TO INSPIRE YOU?

I'm a bit of a granny, I don't really listen to much music made post 2000 and I'm pretty dedicated to Radio 4. Woman's hour and The Archers with some Chaka Khan and Janet Jackson dance breaks in between.

WHAT DO YOU PERSONALLY REGARD AS YOUR BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT?

Probably the fact that I've managed to never get a proper job!

In desperate broke times, I've come very close to just giving up and getting a 9-5. Cross fingers so far, since graduating from art college about 12 years ago (gross, can't believe its 12 years), I've managed to be self employed and stay afloat via my creative work. It means that I live hand to mouth but it's a lifestyle I have gotten used to and I think its made me a happier/healthier person in the long run.

WHAT’S THE BEST DECISION YOU EVER MADE?

I got asked on a date VIA POST by a boy I had met on holiday in Mexico, I worked out that he lived about 30 seconds from my studio (bit creepy), we had no friends in common on Facebook (eh?), he wasn't on Twitter or Instagram (wha?) AND he was on holiday with his mother - which is surely combined textbook behaviour for a psychopath... BUT, 4 years later it turns out he's actually very normal and the love of my damn life.

WORST DECISION?

When I tried to bleach my own hair whilst at art college, obviously it went an awful straw orange colour and I had to chuck on about 3 packs of black dye to cover it up. I looked like a chubby Corpse Bride for about 2 years until it grew out.

HOW DO YOU RELAX?

I was brought up a complete telly addict and I still watch a disgusting amount of trash telly. I try to combat that with the fact that I'm also lazy enough to have never learned to drive, which means I walk a lot which is good for my brain and my butt.

WHICH WOMEN ARE YOU WATCHING RIGHT NOW?

My friend Chrissie Abbott is making some bloody gorge work at the moment, she always inspires me with her colours and positive zen attitude!
