If you’re using Araldite, mix it up on a bit of used cracker card using a cocktail stick. Slather a generous amount of glue onto the flattened area of the spinning top and stick it to the ring shank. To keep the spinning top upright while it dries, rest it on a couple of cocktail sticks. This will stop the ring shank from drying at an odd angle.
