It's looking a lot like Christmas at Brick Lane!
August 13, 2018 - Charlotte Prichard
Our Brick Lane store's windows are bedecked with fairy lights, our Deluxe Christmas Crackers are ready to be carried home by eager shoppers and we've gone all out with, wait for it, the Christmas tree to beat all Christmas trees... Our fabulous Perspex tree was designed and made especially for our pop up at the Christmas Arcade at Somerset House last year by our creative queen Zoe and even featured in Vogue's Designer Christmas Card collection! We just had to give it a new home in our Brick Lane store (Well, it wouldn't fit in our living room at home!) Each tiny bit of our tree is a classic piece of jewellery, a sample that never made it out out of the workshop or a favourite trinket that's been carefully hoarded since Tatty Devine first began. Let's take a closer look and see what we can spy... Hello, Gilbert and George! Back in 2008, we were asked to create Gin jewellery inspired by their artwork. We often spot them strolling past our Brick Lane store. Cheers, boys! Can you spot the GIANT blackberry from our AW11 collection, Tatty Devine coins and our Enamel Gingerbread Heart Brooch? This heart brooch is very precious as it's a sample piece from our first collaboration with artist Rob Ryan back in 2011. It contains all Rob, Rosie and Harriet's favourite things! Can you spot our Kate and Wills Cameo, a tiny frog and a crystal studded Firework Brooch? Which lock do that set of keys fit? Nobody can remember! We love the cute Matilda Mouse playing card, too. (She's a Wimbledon Winner!) We love crabs (yum!) so we had to include this little foam fellow. Can you spot a tasty party ring, a cocktail umbrella and a sample AW12 ring that was never released...? Pop into the Brick Lane store and see what treasures you can spot on our beautiful tree... Don't forget to tweet and instagram us your snaps, too!
