Tatty Devine at Soma

Last Saturday Harriet and I packed our bags full of books and left for Bristol to do a workshop in the gallery/shop Soma. Soma has sold Tatty Devine since 2005 so is a long standing stockist, and in fact one of the first galleries to sell our jewellery. It's in the area of Clifton, which is defiantly worth a visit if you haven't been there as it is full of independent shops, deli's and boutiques. We thought we were in Paris for a minute. We had a quick bite to eat in the Arch House Deli and met our friend Simon who makes luxurious skin creams out of natural products under the name Dr Jackson and is now doing clever things for Pukka as their resident pharmacognosist. He showed us a picture of what distilled camomile looks like and it was bright blue, amazing. He also topped us up with some skin cream, thanks Simon!
We took residency upstairs in the gallery surrounded by work of Crispin Finn wishing we'd both worn red, white and blue to match the art work. We were there to show the good people of Bristol how to make a tape measure rosette, and sign a few books.
