Whatever happens, Tatty Devine will never compromise on our integrity and will continue to only make beautiful products in line with our brand values. Creativity is at the heart of everything: our interests, the causes we choose to champion, the people we want to hang out with and what we do as Tatty Devine - it really is essential to who we are. We’ve made it this far without ‘selling out’ and we believe we can continue to do so whilst making a stand for what we believe in. Spoiler alert, we believe in a lot! In no particular order, allow us to explain what we’re all about...

Who we are

Rosie and Harriet, Tatty Devine Co-Founders

Founded by Rosie Wolfenden MBE and Harriet Vine MBE who were determined to do it ‘their way’ and wanted to avoid working anywhere conventional or patriarchal at all costs.

Women Unite Brooch worn by Lady Hale

For over twenty years Team Tatty has predominantly been made up of females, giving women space to enjoy creativity, jewellery and working together in a relaxed, uncompetitive, open and collaborative environment.

All our jewellery is designed and handmade in-house by a small, skilled team of female makers with a passion for art, jewellery and Equality.

At Tatty Devine career development is encouraged, from making to management and everything in between. Of course, we’re keen to fight the Gender Pay Gap, and pay the London Living Wage.

Tatty Devine jewellery carries a strong feminist message and is known for making a statement and starting conversations.

Jewellery is a very powerful way to spread messages and Tatty Devine loves to challenge what jewellery can be and do. Through its jewellery and campaigns Tatty Devine empowers its customers by giving them a medium to be political.

"‘Read my pins’ said US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. We can convey a lot through what we wear if we choose to do so." - Lady Hale, Law reformer and former President of The Supreme Court

Tatty Devine X Equality Now

In March 2022, Tatty Devine announced a new collaboration with international charity Equality Now, to raise funds, awareness and champion equal rights for women and girls worldwide. Equality Now will receive £3.75 ($5) for every piece of jewellery sold.

"We're on a mission to spark real change. You can campaign all you like but unless you actively change the law, very little else changes and so, this is why it's so important to support Equality Now's vital work as they actively challenge ever-pressing issues faced by women and girls worldwide." - Rosie Wolfenden MBE, Tatty Devine Co-Founder

Tatty Devine X Fawcett Society

Since 2018, Tatty Devine have partnered with the Fawcett Society, the UK’s leading charity campaigning for advancement in gender equality and women's rights. Together we are smashing stereotypes, fighting for equal pay and campaigning for more representation of women, in all our diversity, in politics at all levels.

What we stand for

Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere Tatty Devine

2018 was the year of the woman- 100 years since women’s suffrage. To commemorate, Tatty Devine worked with City of London to turn Gillian Wearing CBE’s statue of Millicent Fawcett in Parliament Square (the first ever statue of a woman there and first designed by a woman too) into a piece of jewellery to be worn and help spread the words ‘Courage Calls To Courage Everywhere’.

“We really believe that you have to see it to be it and it’s never felt more important to inspire the next generation.” Rosie Wolfenden MBE

Pride-osaur Statement Necklace Not A Phase

Since 2021, we have donated £60 per Pride-osaur Statement Necklace sold to Not A Phase, a UK charity focusing on supporting trans+ adults. In 2022, our Covent Garden store underwent sensitivity training held by Not A Phase founder Dani St James to make sure we continue to be a welcoming safe space for all.

We pride ourselves on inclusivity and we wholeheartedly support the LGBTQ+ movement. We are proud to design jewellery that helps people express themselves: whoever they are, wherever they’re from and whatever they stand for.

Last but certainly not least we stand for YOU! From providing you with excellent customer service experiences, helping you to look and feel fierce in our jewellery or promoting creativity through our workshops, all our decisions at Tatty Devine come down to you.

Sustainability

So, whilst acrylic jewellery and “sustainability” might not obviously go hand in hand, we believe it can! We’re creating beautiful works of art for our customers to treasure forever because unlike fast fashion, our costume jewellery is timeless. Got a piece that needs a little TLC? Get in touch and we’ll take a look, tarnished findings can usually be replaced for a small fee. As for the acrylic leftover from laser cutting? Straight in the recycling, thank you very much! Guess what? We’re committed to adding more jewellery made from recycled acrylic within our core Classic and Contemporary collections - shop here.
You can read our full sustainability statement here.
