Inspired by Chawton House’s feminist library and Jane Austen’s beloved novel, we’ve created our own cover for this 1813 classic. Laser cut in shimmering marble blue acrylic, layered over walnut wood and suspended from an adjustable gold-plated chain by our very own team of romantics. Look closer, Mr Darcy! Embellished with golden swirls, as if an embossed first edition, this tale is made complete with its title etched in perfect penmanship. I had one similar to this in paper ... and it opened but ery soon the paper and its fastening deteriorated. I should have known - my favourite Tatty Divine came to the rescue with another link to historical fiction. I've already got Alice in Wonderland's Curiouser & Curioser and the Book necklaces. And now - my favourite Jane Austen! Fabulous. I also bought the black cameo prtrait of her silhouette. What a treat. What's next in the literary world? As a Yorkshire lass - how about the Brontes? Especially Wuthering Heights!
