TATTY DEVINE FOR JOHN LEWIS SUNGLASSES REVEALED!

Here's Rosie in our new sunglasses! We've designed these exclusively for John Lewis, and they're due in store this weekend in a select few John Lewis stores in limited quantities. They have also appeared in Vogue:

John Lewis invited Tatty Devine, along with Eley Kishimoto, Beatrix Ong and Todd Lynn, to create a pair of limited edition sunglasses.

We decided to design our sunglasses to look like a bow tie, inspired by our Bow Tie Necklace and Ring. Here's our mood board, with the glasses mocked up on some of our favourite ladies:

The final shape has an oversized 1970s feel, with the angles of a cats eye lens. When you put them on top of your head, they look like a big bow in your hair. Harriet demonstrates:

Black was an obvious colourway for the sunglasses (although production issues meant it didn't happen in the end). We toyed with leopard print, too, but in the end it had to be classic red and white polka dots. How great would they look on a picnic with matching plastic tumblers?

Here are Team Tatty modelling the shades:

One of our favourite details is the curved arms with ends shaped like ribbons:

Can't wait to wear them on holiday this summer! What do you think of the design?
