Tatty Devine X De Montfort University

Tatty Devine X De Montfort University

Last September, we were very excited to receive an email from De Montfort University inviting us to run a campaign project with their second-year Fashion Communication & Styling students.

Our co-founder Rosie Wolfenden MBE worked closely with the students, from sending jewellery samples to setting a brief. Harnessing creativity and self-expression through video and still imagery, the aim was to resonate with a new generation of young creatives while staying true to Tatty Devine’s values.

“I was so impressed with the standard of work, the students really leapt to the challenge and made genuinely powerful and on-brand content which we can't wait to share with our community” - Rosie Wolfenden MBE

The students presented their final works to Rosie in November, and three were selected to be featured across Tatty Devine's channels. With incredible results that explored feminism, cultural roots, and how jewellery brings people together, take a look at their projects below.

Created by Sanya Ram

“My project focused on women of colour in feminist spaces, reimagining movements such as the Suffragettes and Riot Grrrls in a more diverse Gen Z community whilst recognising the role South Asian and Black women played in establishing women’s rights.” - Sanya

Created by Amelia Davies

"I loved how Amelia's work was very on trend, but will appeal to our existing millennial customers because it's so nostalgic to the time when they were in their 20's. It's very clever, cool and cute all at once." - Rosie Wolfenden

Meet the winners: Kaya and Sophia's work was a thoughtful exploration into storytelling with a cross-generational appeal, with key themes of togetherness, something we strive for in our community. Taking their concept beyond videos and stills, they explored pop-up shops in Gen Z-focused spaces.

Created by Sophia Tyler and Kaya Antoszak

"We wanted to show how Tatty Devine jewellery can be more than an accessory; it can be a symbol of love, individuality, and creative freedom passed from one generation to the next." - Kaya

“Our project focuses on the emotional value of jewellery beyond its appearance, how it is passed down through generations and the emotion it holds. The idea that this jewellery can be worn by anyone and appreciated by everyone.” - Sophia
