Inside our Deluxe Lobster Necklace Experience

Last night we headed under the sea for a Deluxe Lobster Necklace Experience with none other than Tatty Devine co-founder, Harriet Vine MBE. A dedicated band of lobster lovers splashed through the rain to our Brick Lane store and were greeted with a glass of fizz and the prettiest pink macaroons from our East End neighbours, Albion Cafe. Yes, they really were as delicious as they look... First of all, everyone settled down for a chat with Harriet who was modelling the latest in crustacean chic, our GIANT Lobster Necklace in pink: "It's a bit like a lobster jigsaw right now!" Jewellery making expert Harriet led our workshoppers in the very first step - linking each pale pink lobster piece together with jump rings: They had no problem getting to grips with the pliers and soon enough, lobsters were taking shape across the table... Here's Jools aka chic cycle style blogger Lady Velo double checking her lobster's links (and wearing the Pop Star Hand Necklace from our Spring Summer 2010 collection): "Hmmm, which colour to choose?" Choosing which sparkling Swarovski crystals to embellish our lobsters with was a hard task: To avoid any sticky mistakes, we laid out our crystals on a special work sheet first: Ta-da!
