Well done you made it through a grey (in every way) January... Always the toughest month of the year and this time more than ever, but you did it!

Now we know it might not have been easy and we are all waiting for life to be a bit more normal again, so if you’re feeling a little blue and you aren’t quite sure who to turn to here are some great charities and resources to give you that helping hand. It’s SO important to look after that brain of yours!

The mental health charity have a helpline you can call between 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and offer online tools to help you cope in a crisis

 Samaritans also offer a phone line, theirs is open 24/7! You just need to call 116 123 for free, if you visit their website you will also find extra support from coping during a pandemic.

Standing for Campaign Against Living Miserably, CALM are here to help. They offer a phone line service you can reach by calling 0800 585858, as well as a web chat where you can talk confidentially and anonymously to trained staff.

Young Minds
For young people and children, Young Minds offer a Crisis Messenger service where you can text YM to 85258 and receive free 24/7 help. You can also find tips for looking after yourself and your mental health on their website.

Text About It
Based in Ireland? You can text HELLO to 50808 to get support for any emotional or mental health crisis, or just a chat to calm you down.

Take 10 Together
Mental Health First Aid England are asking everyone to “Take 10 Together”. Just take 10 minutes of your time to start a conversation about mental health, whether it’s with a friend, family or a colleague. They’ve put together some top tips of how to start talking about mental health!

Action for Happiness
10 Keys for Happier Living! With their acronym GREAT DREAM, find ways to adjust your day to day life to make you feel happier, from connecting with people, looking after your body to creating goals.

Mental Wellbeing Audio
Sometimes it helps just to take a few minutes to zone out and reconnect with your thoughts. The NHS have some great audio guides you can listen to depending on how you are feeling!
