Wonderful Workshops: In Real Life

Reminiscing on the last year and there was really one thing we didn’t get to do enough and that is hanging out with you guys at our Workshops!! We got to see some of your beautiful faces over Zoom and even created video tutorials for you guys to follow at home, but that just doesn’t compare to having an IRL jewellery making session with a cup of tea and a natter.

As well as the perk of a shiny new necklace, for us workshops are the FULL PACKAGE, they are a chance for our amazing customers to come and get the full Tatty Devine experience! You’ll learn new skills, alongside firsthand access to feel what it’s like to make jewellery, the fun we have at workshops isn’t much different to the vibes in our Kent studio. Being creative in a new community of like-minded new people… what more do you want?!

In the last couple of months, we have had the BEST time hosting a workshop at Ventnor Fringe Festival and at our Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine with 2021’s “Best Art Gallery”, the award-winning New Brewery Arts in Cirencester.

Down on the sunny Isle of Wight, Harriet & Rosie hosted our first workshops of the year at the Ventnor Fringe Festival. We hosted two right by the sea front, making our classic Mini Bunting Necklace and our Recycled Mini Parakeet Necklace. Harriet’s highlight of the event was meeting all the attendees, “It was so lovely to spend time with everyone who came along and it was even better to see people of all different ages!”

We then popped on over to Cirencester where our Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine exhibition had landed for another adventure with our workshop extraordinaires Katie and Amy. Which brings us on to our first bit of news…

Our exhibition is coming to Wales and we’ll be hosting a Mini Bunting workshop at Ty Pawb in Wrexham, to celebrate the opening, on 25th September at 11am. Come along and release your creativity with Harriet... a chance to truly be ‘in the moment’ choose from a pick n mix of brightly coloured, mirrored, glitter and printed acrylic flags. The process of digging through the different acrylic and choosing your colour combo is the perfect time to leave those daily stresses behind and be happy in a world of colour.

The exhibition then continues from 25th September until 13th November 2021.

The workshops are such an inclusive space. You can come on your own, feel welcomed, chat Harry Potter / RuPaul’s Drag Race / Cats whilst learning new skills and get all the insider Tatty Devine gossip.  So if you're thinking of coming alone don't be scared, you'll be part of Team Tatty in no time!” - Amy D

So if you’re down to chat about your cat, we’ll be hosting a Recycled Rainbow Parakeet Necklace Workshop at the Vaults Collective in Crystal Palace. That’s right we’re coming south of the river to entertain you (sang like Robbie Williams) and have a squawk-load of fun. There are only a handful of tickets left, so flap to it and book your space now!

Lucky you, we've heard that Ivy and the Wolf will be offering our attendees 20% off their gorgeous plants too.

Sign up to our newsletter and follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date with any new workshops coming your way… It’s the perfect way to spend a little V.I.Me time!
