    Description

Ritual objects turned ready-to-wear, it’s the Byzantine Alan Measles Necklace. Depicting British artist Sir Grayson Perry's childhood teddy bear: Alan Measles meets the Byzantine Empire in this eccentric golden necklace.

Embellished from head to toe, this twinkling tchotchke is adorned with polished beads, precious stones and sparkling crystals with hand-inked features from floral eyes to curly hair. Glowing in rich butter yellow and deep orange mirror, layer this luxurious collector’s necklace with satin dresses for opulent occasion dressing.

    Dimensions

Alan Measles design measures approximately 10 cm high by 7 cm wide. Total length adjustable between 49 cm and 54 cm.

    Care

Keep water, perfume and other sprays and lotions away from your jewellery, as moisture can discolour metal parts. Always store and transport your jewellery in its box. For more information visit our dedicated Jewellery Care & Repair page.

    Packaging

All Tatty Devine jewellery boxes are fully recyclable! Manufactured using eco-friendly, organic and Fairtrade® materials, the recycled cardboard is produced via responsible forestry means, using water-based glue. Each black foam insert is sustainably made including the use of tall oil, a natural by-product derived from wooden pulp production, which is 100% free from crude oil.

      Fabulous bit of bling!

The Byzantine necklace is full of exquisite and intricate detailing and dripping with crystals. Essentially though it’s Alan Measles metamorphosized into a Byzantine style pendant. Love his little face! Literally couldn’t be better. Love it!

      Byzantine Beauty!

This is so cool and quirky, and very eye-catching. It reminds me of Klimt's work, so that's an added bonus!
