Are you sitting comfortably? We’ll begin. Get ready to hear more stories behind a jewellery collection inspired by the magic of allegory, our special edition SS26 release. This wearable anthology of poignant pearls, mesmerising acrylic, natural wood and intricate adornments brings stories from the page into three-dimensional, wearable masterpieces.

LITERATURE

Step into the storybook into reality with jewellery inspired by genre, must-read classics, and surreal stories. Brimming with symbolism, each piece plucks imagery from the page and turns it into a tactile masterpiece you’ll never forget.

Eternal Heart Necklace Flatlay

Eternal Heart Necklace, £85

A heartfelt tribute to love from a beautifully-told love story. First seen in 2018, our classic Anatomical Heart design has been plucked from its spooky origins in our Halloween collection, Smoke and Mirrors, and reworked for a heartfelt twist. As wearable sculpture accessories, we're telling the tales of classic romance with these rich, red accessories.

Fig Tree Statement Necklace Model

Fig Tree Statement Necklace, £260

“I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked”

Wear symbolism on your neckline with our Fig Tree Statement Necklace, where Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar’s unforgettable fig tree metaphor transforms into a sumptuous fruit necklace.

This story follows Esther Greenwood, a talented young woman who seems destined for success but instead becomes increasingly isolated. She feels trapped between society’s expectations of marriage and domestic life and her own desire for independence and creativity. The fig tree symbolises choice, as Esther imagines her life spreading out like branches, with each ripe fig representing a different possible future.

Metamorphosis Beetle Necklace Closeup

Metamorphosis Beetle Necklace, £110

Drawing inspiration from Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. This story of transformation is retold in an array of polished gemstone-like forms and glossy acrylic that enables you to make any outfit into a statement-making look.

In the novella, Gregor Samsa, a travelling salesman, wakes up as a giant insect, reflecting the pressures of his everyday life and a sense of isolation. A conversation-starting necklace that’s sure to grab attention, wear this bold design as a reminder to stay true to you.

Mallow Flower Statement Necklace Model

Mallow Flower Statement Necklace, £260

Picture this: you’re writing your next romance novel in a walled flower garden. To your left, soft pink mallow blossoms sway gently in the breeze, filling the air with inspiration.

Grown in the garden of novelist Jane Austen at Chawton House, these delicate blooms inspired our pink floral jewellery, a flower long associated with healing, enduring love, and gentle resilience. Throughout history, Common Mallow was believed to protect homes from negative energy and invite harmony within. In ancient Greece, it was linked to the goddess Hecate and her mystical powers, while in the Victorian era, these pastel flowers became symbols of romance and heartfelt devotion.

PROVERBS & FABLE

Jewellery with a hidden meaning: wear ancient proverbs where every charm carries a moral of its own, to legends and timeless tales with accessories inspired by Aesop’s Fables.

North Wind and Sun Necklace

North Wind and Sun Necklace, £68

A wearable ode to the power of weather, and the power of warmth, we’re telling one of our favourites, Aesop’s fable, in our North Wind and Sun Necklace.

A reminder that gentle persuasion works better than force: the North Wind and the Sun quarrelled over who was stronger. They saw a traveller and decided the one who could make him remove his cloak would win. The Wind blew hard, but the traveller held it tight. The Sun shone warmly, and the traveller took off his cloak.

Fabled Lark Necklace Flatlay

Fabled Lark Necklace, £95

A story of foresight that unfolds as a warm wooden bird necklace.

In Aesop’s tale of care and independence, a mother bird watches over her brood in a ripening wheat field that a farmer plans to harvest. The young larks overhear the farmer talking about calling neighbours to help with the harvest, but nothing happens. He then asks a relative to help, and nothing happens. Finally, the farmer decides he and his son will reap the crop themselves. Realising this means the harvest will finally happen, the mother lark moves her young to safety before the cutting begins.

Crane Earrings Model

Crane Earrings, £95

Looks to last a lifetime: accessorise gracefully with symbols of longevity, our Crane Earrings and pendant. Drawing from an ancient Chinese legend of kindness rewarded, Tseng sang, a disciple of Confucius, spared the life of a wounded crane, which then flew to freedom. Later, this same crane returned with a mate, both birds were carrying a pearl in their beak as a thank you for Tseng Sang’s kindness.

Kaleidoscopic Butterfly Statement Necklace Closeup

Kaleidoscopic Butterflies Statement Necklace, £195

A homage to the multitude of allegories and myths that involve fluttering insects, our vivid butterfly jewellery nods to tragic opera and folk tales.

Inspiration strikes from many stories. Rudyard Kipling's The Butterfly That Stamped represents a surprising power of the small and seemingly weak. Native American legend, told through generations, tells that if you make a wish, release a butterfly, and your hope will be carried to the heavens. In Madame Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini, butterflies carry themes of fragility, transformation, and fleeting beauty.

Designed to bring storytelling to your wardrobe, our collectable SS26 collection, Allegory of Spring, has been handcrafted by expert jewellery makers and thoughtfully designed in our east London studio. Shop the collection online and in our Covent Garden store.
