Tatty Devine's Summer of '22

Look ahead to Autumn, the time has come to say goodbye to the summer of 2022. What a blast it’s been: from the sunny Isle of Wight to the home of Misshapes in Hove, join us on a road trip as we reminisce with our summer roundup.

Pride Bunting Workshop!

Kicking off our summer celebrations, we were taking Pride in our stride with our for-one-weekend-only Pride Bunting Workshop with our good pals at charity Not A Phase - supporting the lives of trans+ adults.

After a day of partying at Saturday’s parade, we hung up our Pride-osaur Statements for an afternoon of crafting with new and long-time friends at the Locke Hotel. The perfect R&R!

Team Tatty's BIG DAY OUT!

All aboard, Team Tatty’s train is now departing! Back together at last after two years of lockdowns, our teams from London and Kent were long overdue a catchup and where better to make that happen than the home of Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine and Royal Pavilion?! The return of the Tatty Devine BIG DAY OUT took us to Brighton and Hove for a day full of ice cream, arcade machines, private tours and afternoon tea… Get the full scoop here.

Coven Book Club: Bethany Rutter

Armed with our sticky-note scattered edition of Bethany Rutter’s Welcome to Your Life, we hosted our very first Tatty Devine Book Club. Exclusive to our Collector’s Coven (find out how you can join here), we were joined by the author herself to talk about the key themes of love and friendship, chat representation of bigger bodies and reminisce on our own dating disasters.

Coven, don’t forget to sign up to the next one where we’ll be joined by Jessie Burton!

Mexican Geniuses

One for art lovers! The highlight of our summer? It has to be the collaboration of dreams, Tatty Devine X Frida Kahlo. Immersing ourselves in the world of this pioneering female artist, we took to the Mexican Geniuses exhibition with a handful of friends to commemorate the Frida Kahlo-inspired jewellery collection. We played spot the inspiration, seeing the jewellery come alive next to folk art paintings and animations. Head to our Instagram highlight to see how the night went!

Whatcha looking at Elysia?

Hove Workshop

We can’t stay away: back to Hove for Team Tatty! Our workshop wizzes, Charlotte and Elysia, were in for a bunting-filled bonanza. With two workshops under the light of Misshapes: The Making of Tatty Devine, inspiration was in abundance with our twenty-year-strong archive all around. Fancy seeing it yourself? Head to Hove Museum and Art Gallery before we say goodbye on Saturday 4th September.

Ventnor Fringe

Just call us jewellery-making jet-setters - where were we off to next? The sunny Isle of Wight for Ventnor Fringe Festival. Bringing the sparkle that every festival needs, our Co-Founder Harriet Vine was on hand (or claw) to pass on her expertise to a group of budding bedazzlers. With a Disco Lobster Necklace and Bunting Workshop underway and Co-Founder Rosie armed with her favourite pieces at the makers market, it was probably the best-dressed festival ever?!

Isn’t it WONDER-ful?

Wonder Room

Gotta go out with a blast right? Signifying the end of summer, we went out on a high with our AW22 launch! Celebrating in style, we head down to Alfies Antiques for an extra special preview event and the grand reveal of our very own Cabinet of Curiosities

Removing the glass divide between admirers and objects of desire: our new limited edition jewellery collection is bursting with oddities and curios. Inspired by the art of discovery, classification and awe-inspiring collectors throughout time, our Creative Director Harriet Vine had a lightbulb moment. Let’s create our own Wonder Room… Taking over a shop front at Alfie’s, we’ve curated a month-long exhibit full of intriguing items from friends, fellow artists and magical minds hand-picked to sit alongside twenty-nine pieces of handcrafted jewellery.

Head to Alfies Antiques Market before 17th September to see it for yourself as the final flourish on a summer of fun!
