Black Friday? No, thank you!

We wanted to give you a heads up that similar to last year, we’re making Black Friday less about small prices and more about shopping small. We have decided to not have any big Black Friday sales this year and we want to encourage all our fans, followers and friends to shop independently this Festive Season.

Over the years the sentiment of Black Friday has given us the ick and we’ve never really been 100% comfortable taking part but have felt the pressure to compete with those big brands, but not any more… Black Friday is everything that we no longer want to stand for. If you’ve seen our Sustainability Statement, you’ll know that our jewellery is made by a small team of female makers in Kent. To ensure that everything we make is cherished, we make it in small batches - so sometimes things sell out but there is so much less excess. We’ve even started to offer pre-order on our Seasonal collections which we will continue to do next year, this has helped us to streamline our production to reduce waste and unwanted products.

Our products are fairly priced for the craftsmanship and skill involved in jewellery making, whilst paying our jewellery makers a fair UK salary. We are proudly designed and handmade in Britain, so by purchasing from us this festive season you’re helping to support local production.
 

As a small business we also recognise that doing huge Black Friday sales puts unnecessary pressure on our fantastic fulfilment team who do a brilliant job processing your orders on a daily basis. We want them to have a wonderful festive time too!

That’s right, we will be joining Donna Wilson for an IRL Sample Sale at Protein Studios in East London, on 26-27th November. You’ll be able to shop seconds from Classic, Moomins and Contemporary collections, and plenty of festive treats too!
