How to dress: Coronation Invitation

With a well-deserved extra day off coming up, The Coronation of The King and The Queen is just a few weeks away. Whether you’re on the lookout for street party-ready accessories, or simply ready to add a touch of the royalcore aesthetic to your Bank Holiday outfits, look no further than the delicate illustrations of the Coronation Invite.

Designed by fellow member of the Art Workers’ Guild and heraldic artist Andrew Jamieson, the Coronation Invitation is a heraldic homage to English landscapes and folklore, with Jamieson sworn to secrecy throughout the process of designing this delightfully organic design. Ready to delve into the world of British folklore, nature and animal life? Here’s your guide to Coronation-ready looks with our original art jewellery, handmade in Britain.

A surprise addition to the Coronation Invite, depending on who you ask, the Green Man is supposedly an ancient deity and/or a key mythical figure within British folklore. Supposedly a fertility spirit and symbol of rebirth, his image commonly depicted in sculpture (including the decor at Westminster Abbey) and beloved literature from Wind in the Willows to JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings have firmly cemented his place in the hearts of lovers of myths and legends.

Celebrate the eccentricities of British folklore and make this statement ring the centrepiece of your jewellery collection. Designed in our East London studio by our Creative Director Harriet Vine MBE,  our small team of expert makers in Kent has laser cut our take on the Green Man in undulating green acrylic before finishing your new go-to folklore accessory with hand-inked golden leaf details. Part of a limited edition of just 50, if you like it, put a Green Man Ring, £43, on it.

History lover? Our Tudor Rose Necklace, £58, is the statement necklace for you, as seen on historian, author and presenter Kate Williams. Glossy layers of recycled acrylic and walnut wood recreate the floral heraldic emblem of England which can be found on historic buildings including Hampton Court Palace. Pair with our matching Tudor Rose Earrings, £39 and big sleeves for a look that’ll have fellow history buffs saying, “Tudor best!”

Perfect for hopping on the stacked jewellery trend, our tiny Mini Bumblebee Pendant, £24, is the go-to layering necklace complete with Coronation-ready refresh fine glitter wings. Go for gold: pair with our Royal Pavilion Pendant, £23, and Pride and Prejudice Peacock Pendant, £30, to lean into the royalcore aesthetic.

Nestled amongst the foliage, a symbol of optimism akin to our Robin Redbreast Brooch is perched upon a golden 'C' on the top of the invitation. Laser cut in an earth-tone palette, our go-to bird jewellery is finished with glossy red bead berry and an iconic mottled red breast. Need one for your coronation look?
