A surprise addition to the Coronation Invite, depending on who you ask, the Green Man is supposedly an ancient deity and/or a key mythical figure within British folklore. Supposedly a fertility spirit and symbol of rebirth, his image commonly depicted in sculpture (including the decor at Westminster Abbey) and beloved literature from Wind in the Willows to JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings have firmly cemented his place in the hearts of lovers of myths and legends.
