A Visit to Sue Kreitzman's Studio
We've long admired offbeat artist Sue Kreitzman's style. Star of new documentary, Fabulous Fashionistas, Sue is a true style inspiration and often pops into our Brick Lane store in a riot of colour to have a chat. As she says herself: "Beige is the colour of death." You might have spotted the bespoke 'Zeitgeist' necklace we created with Sue for the opening party of Advanced Style. We were lucky enough to visit Sue's house/studio last year and she very kindly allowed us to take some sneaky snaps to share with you... When we visited, Sue was preparing for the launch of a major exhibition she had curated, Dare to Wear. We couldn't resist taking a closer look at the assemblage necklaces she created for the show. A big fan of Tatty Devine, Sue says: "Tatty Devine is meant to be worn one piece at a time... I have to wear it all at the same time!" Each statement necklace is assembled from classic Tatty Devine pieces... and whatever else takes Sue's fancy! Sue's house is filled with amazing objets d'art that she has created over the years. You never know what you'll find as you explore - like these amazing Jeremy Scott sunglasses! Thank you for giving us a sneak peek into your world, Sue! Catch up with Sue's appearance on ITV's Daybreak and hear Tatty Devine get a little name check now. Are you a fabulous fashionista? Don't forget to tag yourself on Instagram or Facebook when you're wearing Tatty Devine!
